Summerford honored for AFH Services support of National Guard

Marilyn Sumerford accepted the Seven Seals Award for the Tupelo Clinic of Access Family Health Services during an Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves awards program in Jackson.  The state-wide award is given to employers who support and accommodate employees who actively serve in the Army National Guard.  Many active duty reservists have been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan in recent years, and all are required to participate in weekend drills and other special training.  This award recognizes the willingness of AFH Services of Tupelo to patriotically facilitate these necessary duties.

Two physicians at the Tupelo AFH Clinic, Dr. Kevin Koehler and Dr. Brian Friloux are active reservists.  AFH Clinic Tupelo provides community-based services for a large area population of veterans and has veteran representation on its governing board.
